The story Behind Right on Time
Right on Time Baby Apparel was founded by Stephanie Haas. In August 2022, Stephanie was on vacation with her family in Gatlinburg, TN, when she went into labor at 34 weeks. She was rushed to a hospital in Knoxville, TN, where she gave birth to her son. Her son spent the next two weeks in the NICU because his lungs were not fully developed. Even though the nurses and doctors were incredible, she noticed that one thing always seemed to stress her little boy. The baby outfits that he was wearing were not designed to conform to NICU life. His wires would get tangled, or he would almost get completely undressed to check his temperature or reattach monitors. Changing his outfit would cause him to melt down, his heart rate to go crazy, and emotionally stress his parents.
One night Stephanie was out with her husband grabbing dinner while the grandparents spent time in the NICU when the idea came to her. She shared the idea with her hubby over dinner, and he was 100% on board. From there, they started designing and sourcing. As the idea came together, Stephanie realized that most hospitals do not pay for baby clothing.
Almost all the outfits are donated to the NICU. She knew she had to find a way to donate her product. She then came up with the idea for her baby board book called Right on Time. This book shares a sweet poem that no matter when your baby arrives in this world, it is part of God’s plan, and they are right on time. Once she had the book written and designed and the romper finalized, she then needed to get funding. Lucky Stephanie, a few years ago, remodeled a tiny home. She was able to sell the tiny home to give her the funds to bring this product to life.
Stephanie, along with support from her family and friends, is excited to share these rompers with every NICU in America.
